HyoJung Kim

HyoJung Kim is a graduate student at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Media and Integrated Marketing Communications, where she is specializing in Politics, Policy and Foreign Affairs. She reported in South Korea as a print reporter, Panama as a multimedia journalist and Chicago as a broadcast journalist. She interned at Chicago's WGN-TV before she joined Medill’s Washington, D.C., bureau. She also worked for Hearst Television's National Investigative Unit as a researcher. HyoJung graduated from Northwestern in 2019, where she studied journalism with a concentration in broadcast and multimedia, and theatre with a concentration in performance. She was a part of a nationally-recognized investigative journalism project, the Medill Justice Project, and executive producer of college Emmy-winning Northwestern News Network. She primarily covers health, science and technology for the project.
