Has your license plate been scanned?

Interesting Wall Street Journal application just launched that lets you check if your license plate has been scanned by the Riverside County sheriff while driving in that county in the past two years. (If you don’t have a tag, you can ask it for a random example). 

Routine scanning of license plates has become a growing practice — and privacy concern — as more and more agencies roll out the automated equipment, and the data begins being aggregated in uber databases alone, and attached to other identifying information.
