Former Department of Homeland Security privacy officer John Kropf says DHS efforts to ensure that the data it collects about citizens remains private have expanded in the years since the agency was formed. In an interview with Medill reporters in Washington, D.C., he reviewed the agency’s work during his time there, but noted that the views expressed are his personal views and not those of the U.S. government or DHS.
