Ohio Attorney General cracks down on fraudulent veterans charities

Raising money in the name of veterans can be a lucrative business, but those doing so in Ohio should watch out — the state’s attorney general’s office has been rooting out and cracking down on offenders in recent years.  Josh Sweigart of the Dayton Tribune reports on recent investigations.

Unexploded WW II-era Bomb found at Explosive Ordnance Disposal School

eglin200Lauren Sage Reinlie of the Northwest Florida Daily News reports that finding unexploded bombs on the grounds of the Eglin Air Force Base in northwest Florida is not uncommon. Last Wednesday, the discovery of one such bomb at, of all places, the Navy’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal school caused evacuations. Full story.
