GAO HIGHLIGHTS CONCERNS FOR AIR FORCE DRONE PILOTSdrone pilot

Longer hours and more stress, along with other difficult working conditions for Air Force drone pilots, are issues of concern for the GAO following a report they released earlier this year that points to high pilot wash-out rates. Springfield News-Sun writer Matt Sanctis reports on pilot conditions at The Springfield Air National Guard base, one of the eight active duty bases in the US that flies drones.

MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN IN THE ARMY

McHugh’s directive which grants women the ability to serve in a wider range of roles in the Army. The purpose of the initiative is to insure positions within the Army are filled with the best qualified soldiers. David Vergun with Army News Service, reports.

PROBLEMS ARISE AS VA CLINIC STRUGGLES TO RELOCATE

FL-VA-clinic Vets in St. Johns County, Florida are worried and want answers regarding where their VA clinic will relocate to when the current facility is taken over by its new owner, Lowe’s Hardware, next spring. If the clinic hasn’t moved out by March, the VA will have to pay Lowe’s $53,000 a month. Jessica Clark with First Coast News has more on how the VA is handling the situation.
