The National War College  in Washington opened its doors to students from the Medill NSJI on May 19.

Lieutenant Colonel Charlie Von Bergen is the commanding officer of the 3rd Battalion 11th Marines. This is one of nine active Marine artillery battalions in the U.S. military. Though they are based in 29 Palms, California, they regularly travel to Okinawa, Japan, for more training on the howitzer, the Marine’s primary weapon. (Ezra Kaplan/MEDILL NSJI)
